Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we're asked most often — by candidates weighing up their next move and by hiring managers deciding whether to work with us. Can't find what you need? Get in touch directly and a consultant will come back to you within one working day.

Registration takes a few minutes online — submit your CV and we'll follow up within one working day to discuss your experience, availability and the types of roles you're interested in. For trades and technical roles, we'll also confirm relevant tickets and qualifications at this stage, so we're only putting you forward for roles you're genuinely eligible for.

Permanent roles place you directly onto a client's payroll with standard employment terms, while temporary and contract roles typically involve working through an agency or umbrella arrangement for a fixed project period or day rate. We're upfront about which type of role you're being considered for, and happy to talk through the practical and tax implications of contract work if you're new to it.

Yes — every candidate we put forward gets a CV review and a pre-interview briefing covering the project, the team and what the client is specifically looking for. For site-based and technical roles, this often includes talking through likely technical questions in advance, not just generic interview tips.

This depends on the role, but commonly includes proof of right to work, relevant CSCS/CPCS cards, trade qualifications or NVQ certificates, and references from previous employers or site supervisors. For rail and utilities roles, we'll also verify certifications like PTS or COSS where relevant. We'll tell you exactly what's needed for each specific role before you apply.

It varies by sector and role seniority, but many trades and labour placements move within days once compliance checks are complete, while senior technical and management roles typically take longer given the depth of interview processes involved. We'll always give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one.

No. We never share your CV or details with any employer, including your current one, without your explicit agreement first. Confidentiality is standard practice, not something you need to request.
